Perforated plastic film acts as a release film between the
laminate/resin and the consumable material stack during vacuum consolidation.
The perforations in the release film allow excess resin to
bleed though the film into the stack above and improve the quality of the cured
laminate.
Perforated Vacuum bags go in between the breather material and the release fabric (peel ply) in a vacuum bag stack.
